Insufficient fuel for bowsers
Joint Secretary of the Sri Lanka Petroleum Private Tanker Owners Association (SLPPTOA) Shantha De Silva stated the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation is not issuing adequate amounts of fuel for its bowsers.
“Usually about 200-350 of our tankers report for duty. As of recently, only about 100 to 150 arrive. That is because not all receive orders”
Meanwhile, lengthy diesel queues could be seen today as well. The diesel shortage has been running for several days.
