Sri Lanka Cricket Medical committee Chairman Prof. Arjuna De Silva says that batsman Kusal Perera & fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera are available for selection for the upcoming New Zealand tour.

“We need to give some good news too. The good news is that KJP is ready. If there is no other issue, he will definitely go to New Zealand” He said, answering a question on Kusal Perera’s fitness update.

He also said that KJP is currently playing local matches and fully recovered from his shoulder surgery.

Participating in the ‘Sanath Show’ today, Prof. De Silva further said that fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera is also recovered and will be heading to New Zealand for the ODIs as the leader of the pace attack.

“With Duhsi’s return, we get back our spearhead of the bowing attack. I think after his return mostly our bowling attack should improve” he said.
