The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has decided to call off their provincial level strike.

GMOA Secretary Dr. Haritha Aluthge says that the provincial level strike was suspended with effect from noon today (02) after the Central Committee held an emergency meeting earlier in the today.

The GMOA decided to step away from their duties at provincial level earlier this week citing several issues and the strike commenced yesterday (02) from the Uva Province, and continued in the Northern Province earlier today.
