RASAMANICKAM TNA MP,EXPLAINS TO PM ON RECENT STATEMENT MADE IN PARLIAMENT

Shanakiyan sends letter of explanation to PM!

Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Parliamentarian Shanakiyan Rasamanickam has sent a letter to the Prime Minister explaining his recent statement in Parliament.

” You know I do not condone violence in all its forms and make statements that incite violence. I represent a society that has been battered for three decades. I have spoken out for the needs and aspirations of all Sri Lankans. We have worked for peace and cooperation.”

The letter also states that the people behaved violently on May 9 because the people’s representatives who represent them in parliament failed to bring to parliament their needs, questions and grievances.

“They must have felt that the representatives that they appointed through their votes had failed to speak up about the issues that they were facing.“

He further stated that he would do his utmost to find solutions to the problems of the people and provide immediate relief.
