Eight firms shortlisted for Litro Gas sale RFPs

India’s Bharat Petroleum and Vitol Asia are among eight firms shortlisted for the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage in the sale of Litro Gas Lanka Ltd. and Litro Terminal Ltd.

The other contenders include Siamgas and Petrochemicals Public Company Ltd., Bgn Int Dmcc, Bayegan Dis Ticaret A.S., Confidence Petroleum India Ltd., OQ Trading Ltd., Tristar Transport LLC, and Infinity Holdings along with its affiliates.

The State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Restructuring Unit announced the shortlisted parties after evaluating expressions of interest (EOIs) in compliance with Special Guidelines on Divestiture of State-Owned Enterprises.

The evaluation was overseen by the Cabinet Appointed Special Project Committee and the Special Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee.

The call for EOIs was issued by the Government through the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies on January 16, with a deadline of March 15.

Fourteen parties, including LAUGFS Gas Plc and various international firms, responded. Deloitte India is serving as the transaction advisor for this divestiture.
