Kaduwela Magistrate rejects police request
Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court has rejected a request by police for an order to prevent protests from taking place near Parliament tomorrow (05) and day after tomorrow (06).
Meanwhile, police bail has been refused for the 12 persons arrested for protesting in front the Parliament earlier today.
The protestors had been taken to the Maharagama police and soon afterwards, a protest was held in front of the Maharagama police station, demanding the release of the arrested protestors.
