Two more batches of rice from China reach Colombo
Two more batches of rice have reached Colombo in the last few days, the Chinese embassy in Colombo states.
The two 500 MT batches, sent to Sri Lanka under the 500 million RMB emergency humanitarian assistance, have arrived on July 16 and 19th.
‘So far, 3,000 MTs of rice has been handed over to the Ministry of Education (MoE) for 1.1 million children in 7,900 schools across the island under the School Meal Program,’ the embassy further states.
