In a record-breaking IPL auction, Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has become the most expensive player in IPL history, fetching a monumental ₹27 crore (approximately $3.24 million) for Lucknow Super Giants. Pant’s signing eclipses Shreyas Iyer’s earlier record-breaking bid of ₹26.75 crore ($3.21 million) by Punjab Kings, which had briefly set the bar as the highest-ever auction price.
