Rosy to contest for CMC Mayor post again


Colombo Mayoress Rosy Senanayake is to run for a second term in the Local Government eletions and has already handed over her nominations papers.

Ms. Senanayake told Daily Mirror that she  would be seeking a second term.

Daily Mirror also learnt that SLPP and UNP would be contesting for the Colombo Municipal Council together under the elephant symbol.

A sitting member of Colombo Municipal Council who did not wished to be named said both parties will be contesting together for the Colombo Municipal Council.

SLPP has been given 15 slots from the list while UNP members would be contesting from wards.
