Sri Lanka-Australia ODIs at R. Premadasa
The Australian cricket team will play two ODIs in Colombo after their two Test matches in Galle. Both ODIs are scheduled to be played at R. Premadasa Stadium on February 12 and 14 (both day matches).
Sri Lanka Cricket confirmed the new match schedule yesterday, with two ODIs in Colombo. Due to the renovation of floodlights, both matches will be day games. Earlier, the Australian cricket series consisted of two Test matches and an ODI scheduled for February 13 in Hambantota. However, Cricket Australia requested to play two ODIs in Colombo as preparation for the forthcoming Champions Trophy cricket tournament.
Sri Lanka played their last ODI against India at R. Premadasa Stadium on August 7, 2024, and won the series at this venue. Sri Lanka met Australia in their last ODI series in June 2022, winning the series 2-1 at this venue under the leadership of Dasun Shanaka.
The two Test matches in Galle will be played on the following dates: the first from January 29 to February 2, and the second from February 6 to 10. The Australian team will arrive in Sri Lanka on January 24.
