A 06-year-old child has reportedly died after a wall of a school in Wellampitiya  collapsed on a group of students.

The child had succumbed to her injuries while being treated at the ICU of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital in Colombo.

Five more students have also been rushed to the Colombo National Hospital.

The students had reportedly gone to the tap located near the wall for water, during the school interval.
