Low-pressure water supply to several areas in WP
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced that the water supply to several areas in the Western Province will be under low pressure due to a sudden breakdown in the transmission pipeline to the Church Hill Reservoir.
Accordingly, the water supply will be under low pressure in the following areas:
Urban Council Areas: Wattala, Mabola, Ja-Ela, Katunayak-Seeduwa
Pradeshiya Sabha Areas: Wattala, Biyagama, Mahara, Dompe, Ja-Ela, Katana and Minuwangoda
The NWSDB has also said that elevated areas may also experience supply interruptions and urged the public in these aforementioned areas to use water sparingly.
The supply is expected to be restored by 12.00 noon tomorrow (Oct. 22).
