Wedaarachchi’s son & wife clash with police
A video is being circulated over social media of a clash between former Tangalle Mayor Ravindu Wedaarachchi, the son of Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Dilip Wedaarachchi, and the police at the Bedigama entrance of the Southern Expressway.
The incident that led to the clash with the police was when the police had stopped Wedaarachchi from entering the expressway in an open cab carrying a refrigerator.
Ravindu Wedaarachchi says that this situation had arisen when he was transporting a refrigerator by jeep to Colombo via the expressway due to lack of fuel.
