SLC ALLOWS WIFE’S TO BE BROUGHT ONLY FOR ONE TEST IN NZ BUT NO KIDS

SLC to allow wives to accompany players only for one NZ Test, without kids.

Sri Lanka Cricket has allowed Sri Lankan Cricketers to bring their wife’s to upcoming New Zealand tour only for one Test.

Players and coaching staff have been reportedly informed that wife’s will be allowed to stay with their spouses during the 2nd test match in New Zealand.Players have been also informed that kids will be not allowed to be with them and their wives will not be allowed to stay with them during the ODI and T20 series.

The committee appointed by the Sports Minister to probe allegations related to the Sri Lankan cricket team that represented the T20 World Cup held in Australia players should be allowed to take family members on tour at their own expense.

The committee in its report added that it is of the opinion that players could avoid going out unnecessarily during free time if their families are around with them.
