6 including Sanath Nishantha & Milan, remanded further
Six people including Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MPs Sanath Nishantha and Milan Jayathilake have been remanded until June 01.
They were arrested for attacking the ‘GotaGoGama’ and ‘MynaGoGama’ peaceful protests in Colombo on May 09.
When the suspects were escorted to the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court under armed guard, protestors had also gathered in the vicinity, demanding justice for the victims of the attacks.They had been produced in an identification parade today.
