Army Commander’s extension valid
The Ministry of Defence has announced that reports on social media claiming that the Chief of Defense Staff, Army Commander General Shavendra Silva’s extension has not been carried out legally is untrue.
The Defence Ministry further stated that the extension of service given to the Army Commander is still valid and will be effective from 31/12/2021.
