Thread of sackcloth found in sprat curry in canteen in Parliament

A fairly long piece of thread used for sackcloth was found in sprat curry served at press canteen in Parliament today.

A journalist found it while having his lunch at the press canteen this afternoon.

This journalist told his colleagues that he had handed over the piece of thread to a staff member attached to the house keeping department.

Meanwhile, two policemen were reported to have fallen ill with stomach infection on Thursday after consuming a contaminated fish curry at the staff canteen.

Staff members confirmed that fish curry served at staff canteen were rotten.
