The Sri Lankan cricket team will play their first practice game against Zimbabwe on October 11 in preparation for the T20 World Cup in Melbourne.

Sri Lankan cricket team Manager Mahinda Halangoda said earlier that the first practice game against Zimbabwe was scheduled to be played on October 10 in Melbourne but it has been rescheduled to be played on October 11 followed by the Ireland practice game on October 13.

Our team is training hard here to adjust to the conditions while the temperature is 15-16 Celsius, but it has changed a little bit and our boys have settled down.

The first qualifying match against Namibia will be played on October 16 at Geelong and Sri Lanka team is scheduled to leave for Geelong two days before to adjust to the ground conditions.

On the same day of the first practice match on October 11 will be the Gala Dinner for the Sri Lanka team and Sri Lanka supporters are expected to attend this Dinner.
