SRI LANKAN AIRLINE FLIGHT UL 1263 TO DAMMAN SAUDI ARABIA RETURNS OWING TO HYDRAULIC DEFECT

Sri Lankan Airline flight (UL-1263) that left Damam Saudi Arabia from Katunayake Airport in the evening returned back to Colombo due to a failure of the hydraulic system.

The pilot had taken steps to return the flight after two hours and 10 minutes.

There were 157 passengers, including 11 crew members onboard.

This flight was an Airbus A320 and had left Katunayake airport at 5.45 p.m this evening.

Accordingly, the flight arrived at 7.55p.m. The flight is now ready to fly back to Damam after rectifying the fault, officials said. (T.K.G. Kapila)
