Pillayan occupies Bandula’s office!
It is reported that the office of the Cabinet Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media – Bandula Gunawardena has been occupied by Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan, who was recently sworn in as State Minister for Rural Road Development.
This has apparently happened while minister Gunewardena was in Russia recently and it is said that Chandrakanthan has even assumed duties there.
According to a weekend newspaper, the minister was informed of this soon after his arrival in Sri Lanka by his media secretary.The minister had immediately phoned Chandrakanthan and told him to work from his office at the Transport Ministry in Sethsiripaya, but to also give him a small space when he occasionally came there.
At the present, 04 state ministers have been appointed to the Ministries of Transport, Highways and Mass Media.
Lasantha Alagiyawanna is working as the State Minister of Transport and it is reported he has office spaces at the Sethsiripaya Building in Battaramulla as well as at the Ministry premises in Maradana.Shantha Bandara is the State Minister of Media while Siripala Gamlath is the State Minister of Highways.
