STATE MINISTER SUSIL PREMAJAYANTH SACKED WITH POWERS VESTED BY THE PRESIDENT FOR CRITICIZING THE GOVERNMENT

President sacks Susil Premajayantha

State Minister portfolios of Susil Premajayantha have been removed with immediate effect, by the powers vested with the President, said the President’s Media Division.

Susil Premajayantha was the State Minister of Education Reforms, Open Universities and Distance Learning Promotion.

Meanwhile it is reported that President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has sternly stated that he has the power to remove anyone like State Minister Susil Premajayantha, who are criticizing the government from within its ranks.

The angry remarks had come during yesterday’s (03) Cabinet meeting, which was the first cabinet meeting of the year.
