Fuel supply for vehicles limited
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has limited the supply of fuel for vehicles.
The CPC has stated that this restriction does not apply to buses, lorries, and commercial vehicles.
Accordingly, the limits are as follows :
Motorcycles – Rs.2000/-
Trishaws – Rs.3000/-
Cars, Vans, Jeeps – Rs.8000/-
However, earlier today, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera has said that Sri Lanka has enough petrol but the diesel stocks have been prioritised for electricity generation.
