China to support to establish Tai Chi & Dragon Boat Racing in SL
A meeting between Chinese Ambassador – Mr. Qi Zhenhong and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports – Mr. Sunil Kumar Gamage, was held today (12) at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Mr. Eranga Gunasekara, also participated in the discussion.Ambassador Qi extended his congratulations to the Minister and Deputy Minister on their appointments and affirmed the Chinese government’s commitment to support and development of sports and youth initiatives in Sri Lanka.
Moreover, the meeting focused on exploring actionable measures to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.Ambassador Qi further highlighted that the Chinese government will support the establishment and development of sports including Tai Chi and Dragon Boarding in Sri Lanka in the future.
