Telecom tax upped!
The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) has announced that it will increase the telecommunication tax from midnight today (03).
Accordingly, the Telecommunication Tax which was 11.25% will be increased to 15%.
In addition, the telephone bill charges are expected to increase by nearly 8% as a result of the increase in the value added tax (VAT) from 8% to 12%.
