Accordingly, the Crown and Farmer symbols have been removed from the list by the Election Commissioner Saman Sri Ratnayake.
In the Extraordinary gazette issued on January 21 this year, the Election Commission published list of symbols allotted to political parties and symbols not allotted to the political parties for the purposes of the Parliamentary Elections Act.
