Thieves roaming in broad daylight in front of CID!
A bike parked in front of the building housing the Criminal Investigation Division in Colombo Fort, has been stolen in broad daylight on Aug. 26, reports say.
The bike belonged to a police constable attached to the CID, who had parked as usual before heading into the CID for duty.
He had learnt of the theft only after returning from duty and had promptly lodged a complaint with the Colombo Fort police.
Police say that the bike, valued at over half a million rupees, had been stolen around 06.00am – 03.00pm.
Further investigations are underway.
