Thirty two thousand MT of rice through Sathosa!
Minister of Agriculture, Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation Mahinda Amaraweera has instructed the Paddy Marketing Board to turn 43,000 metric tons of paddy to rice and supply the CWE.
The minister said that this measure was taken in order to control the rising rice prices and meet the shortage of rice in the country.
The Paddy Marketing Board had informed the minister that based on their stocks the PMB could make available around 32,000 metric tons of rice.
