The prices of liquefied petroleum (LP) gas cylinders will not be increased today (Aug 04), Litro Gas Lanka Chairman Muditha Peiris announced.

Addressing a media briefing, Peiris stated that the price of its domestic gas will not be revised despite a price hike in the world market.

Litro Gas yesterday announced that domestic gas prices will be revised as per the monthly pricing formula taking into consideration prices in the world market.

Muditha Peiris stated at the time that gas prices will be required to be revised as a metric ton of gas in the world market has increased by more than 85 US Dollars.

However, the Litro Gas Chairman announced today that no such price hike will be implemented, while the current prices will prevail.
