Proposal to remove IGP to be tabled in Parliament in April
The proposal to remove Deshabandu Tennakoon from his position as Inspector General of Police (IGP) will be presented to Parliament on either April 08 or 09.
Cabinet Spokesperson – Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa announced this during this week’s Cabinet briefing held today (March 26).
A proposal signed by 115 MPs, which called for the removal of Tennakoon, was handed over to the Speaker yesterday.
