A minor tremor has been reported from Wellawaya, Monaragala.

Assistant Director of the Disaster Management Centre Pradeep Kodippili said the 3.0 magnitude tremor was reported earlier this afternoon.

The impact was felt in several areas as well.

The DMC also requested the general public not to panic, since no damages have been caused by the tremor.
