Major strike announced by over 200 public sector trade unions
Over 200 public sector trade unions will engage in a trade union action by reporting sick on Monday (8) and Tuesday (9), according to the Trade Union Collective.
Protesting trade unions are demanding that the government extend the Rs 25,000 special monthly allowance, currently given to officers of the Executive Service category, to all government servants.
