Gota to return to SL next week – Udayanga
Former Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will return to Sri Lanka on August 24, former ambassador to Russia – Udayanga Weeratunga has said.
Weeratunga had said this while speaking to media while leaving the CID premises today (17).
He had gone to the CID to record a statement in connection with the alleged misappropriation of 7 million US dollars in the purchase of MiG aircraft for the Air Force.
Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who fled overseas to escape protests, is currently in Thailand.
