Sri Lanka Under-19 was knocked out of the 2023 Asia Cup tournament following a six-wicket defeat by Bangladesh Under-19.

This is the second consecutive defeat faced by Sri Lanka Under-19 in the ongoing tournament in Dubai, after their historic loss to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) two days ago.

Despite being in a rather easier group, Sri Lanka Under-19 were unable to qualify for the semi-finals.

Following Sri Lanka’s knockout, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the UAE have qualified for the semi-finals of the under-19 Asia Cup tournament.

In the match against Bangladesh Under-19 today, Sri Lanka Under-19 only managed to score 199 for 09 in their allotted 50 overs.

However, Bangladesh Under-19 chased down the target in 40.5 overs.
