Teacher transfer applications won’t be accepted until 2023
The Ministry of Education says applications will not be accepted for teacher transfers until the 2023 academic year.The Ministry said the transfer board is currently assessing applications received for transfers in April 2022.
The teacher transfer board verdicts will be issued prior to the beginning of the new academic year.
Meanwhile, the Ministry said teachers who were temporarily assigned to schools till the 31st of August due to transportation related difficulties, can continue to function in such schools with the consent of respective principals until an agreed date.
All principals have been informed that assignment letters will not be reissued after the 31st of December 2022 based on transportation concerns.
However, the Ministry noted that this process will not be applicable for transfers issued to expectant teachers, transfers on health reasons confirmed through medical reports, and based on the service requirements of schools made by the Teacher Transfer Director of Education at the Ministry of Education.
