UPDATE ON INJURY TO WANINDU HASARANGA

Injury update on Wanindu Hasaranga

Star Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga will miss the 2nd ODI against Australia due a groin strain.

Wanindu picked 4 wickets in the 1st ODI bowling with a limping leg.

He has undergone a MRI scan and the result of that will determine whether he can play the rest of the ODI series or not.

Wanindu’s absence will be a huge blow for Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, Travis Head and Matt Kuhnemann have been added to Australia’s ODI squad after Ashton Agar and Marcus Stoinis suffered injuries during last night’s match against Sri Lanka.

Without Agar, Australia have just five fit specialist bowlers in the ODI squad with Sean Abbott (finger), Mitchell Starc (finger), Mitch Marsh (calf) and Kane Richardson (hamstring) all suffering injuries in Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
