Special measles vaccination program next week
The Ministry of Health announces that a special measles vaccination program will be conducted from Nov. 04 – 09.
The vaccine is typically administered to infants of 09 months and the programme targets those who have either received a single dose or not vaccinated against measles at all.
Senior Epidemiologist at the MoH’s Epidemiology Unit – Dr. Hasitha Tissera says that the vaccination will take place in 12 selected districts across the island.
