Sri Lanka releases world’s longest stamp
The world’s longest stamp, measuring 205 mm and symbolizing the historic Sri Dalada Perahera in Kandy, was released by the Postal Department of Sri Lanka on Tuesday (Aug. 20).
The commemorative stamp was presented to President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Additionally, a collection of stamps, souvenirs, and first day covers related to the Sri Dalada Maligawa and Buddhist culture was presented to the Diyawadana Nilame for display in the Sri Dalada Maligawa museum.
